Students support Ipswich Lib Dems2.00.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 14th Sep 2005 Over 430 students signed a petition against tuition fees and the introduction of top up fees, with many asking for more information about the Lib Dems.
At the Suffolk College Freshers Fair held on 14th September, the Lib Dems had the busiest stand. They were the only political party to attend. Local campaigner Robert Chambers said 'Education should be a right, not a privilege, and all political parties should take note of our young people and students.' The Liberal Democrats have scrapped tuition fees in Scotland.
