Cann: "Ipswich Labour MP should spend more time fighting for Ipswich if he wants to win again here".

Ultra-blairite and Iraq War supporter, Chris Mole MP, Labour's MP for Ipswich has signed a letter calling for Tony Blair to resign immediately from office. Mole's majority has halved to 5,000 since Jamie Cann MP had a majority of 10,000. In the same period Labour has lost half it's council seats in Ipswich. Local Lib Dem Cllr. Andrew Cann said "Mole has been unable to attract the support of his predecessors in Ipswich. He is now desperate enough to turn on his former favourite Tony Blair. Whilst it is true association with Blair is bad for any MP's electoral chances perhaps if Mr Mole spent more time in Ipswich fighting for our hospitals and other services he would be more secure. The next General Election fight in Ipswich promises to be a close run thing."
