The Tories chose to launch their 'Green Agenda' at the same Full Council meeting the Liberal Democrat group attempted to get the administration to sign up to the 'Nottingham Declaration' - a series of measures designed to get local government to do it's bit for Climate Change. During the debate 3 conservative councillors denied that the evidence for Climate Change was compelling and that anything should be done to stop it. In the end the Tories took all the measures out of the Nottingham Declaration so it ended up being a series of empty phrases - much like Tory Green Policy. They say one thing but do another.
