Ipswich Lib Dems tough on Graffiti11.27.02am GMT Sun 4th Feb 2007
Ipswich Borough Council Lib Dems have battled long and hard for cable company NTL to take responsibility for removing Graffiti from their boxes. This action started once the Labour administration had been swept from power. Frustrations with NTL grew so great that IBC offered to paint the boxes if NTL would provide the correct paint. Legally we cannot just paint their property. Earlier last year we decided to bring matters to a head and served enforcement notices on NTL. 83 notices were enforced covering 98 boxes across Ipswich. Following the serving of these notices painting of all the offending boxes will now take place.
