The round pond works have had to be suspended however as the existing coping stones are too badly damaged to be renovated and will need to be replaced. These will be delivered soon.

The shape of two new buildings can now be seen - although they will not be complete until the end of August. There is a new office and visitors centre at the Bolton Lane entrance and a new kiosk and toilets in the lower arboretum.

Drainage has also been improved in the the area around the War Memorial in order to keep the paths clear of water when this area turns muddy in wet weather.
