Housing waiting list is falling year-on-year in Ipswich after a decade of rising under Labour

As reported before here Ipswich Borough Council is building affordable homes at greater rates after the number of homes available FELL under Labour. This of course is not easy and every means possible to means is being found to increase the number of completions.

One of the problems is finding (and funding) land for affordable homes. Ipswich Borough Council, in another innovative scheme, has identified 54 new plots on Borough owned land recently - all of which will be used for additional affordable housing.

The land will be sold to Orwell Housing who will develop more affordable homes on top of the 1,000 they already have land earmarked for.
