Plastic bags

Suffolk's Lib Dems want to see more biodegradable bags or preferrably 'bags for life'.

We reported recently that Ipswich Liberal Democrats are making good progress towards Ipswich becoming plastic bag free.

That has been followed up by the County Liberal Democrats getting the support of all Councillors towards a similar aspiration for Suffolk recently.

In last week's County Council vote all Councillors supported the Liberal Democrat motion to have a plastic bag free Suffolk. The County Council is now committed to a number of measures aimed at bringing this into effect quickly.
