Lib Dem lose popular councillor in Borough election12.00.00am GMT Sat 3rd May 2008
The results of this years Borough elections were a surprise to many. Unfortunately Ipswich Lib Dems lost popular local Councillor Tony James who as represented Whitehouse Ward for 4 years. The elections were marred by another negative Labour campaign this year blaming the woes of the County Council (appointment of a new Chief Executive of £220k and cuts to Roads Maintenance) on the Borough Council. Ipswich Lib Dems have resolved to work harder at getting our vision for a Greener, Cleaner and Safer Ipswich across. We have done much we think we should be proud of in the last 4 years in realising this vision and we have much more we intend to do.
